Global Senior Compliance Auditor Nutrition

The Compliance Auditors team, which is part of Abbott Nutrition’s Global Quality and Compliance team, handles training and qualification for site auditors. They also conduct audits at suppliers, manufacturing sites, and affiliates. The team is divided across the regions, this role has a predominantly focus on the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.

As part of the Global Compliance Auditors team, your responsibilities include:

  • Defining the strategic auditing direction for manufacturing sites, suppliers, and affiliates.

  • Cultivating an “Always Audit Ready” culture through stakeholder engagement.

  • Providing training to site auditors to enhance the value of each audit and supporting auditor certification.

  • Executing the global audit program for suppliers, manufacturing sites, and affiliates to assess compliance and identify risks.

  • Alerting management about quality and compliance risks, ensuring necessary actions are taken.

  • Providing direction, support, leadership, and management of compliance to applicable Regulations, International Standards/Directives, and Abbott Policies as they relate to quality management, audits, manufacturing, manufacturing support and CAPA management.

  • Serving as the subject matter expert on division policies and auditing procedures.

Minimum Education/Professional Experience:

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in health, biomedical, food technology, life science, engineering, or business. A master’s degree is preferred.

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in Quality, Research and Development (R&D), Supply Chain, and Manufacturing, with a minimum of 3 years in an auditing role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expert Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and food safety certification programs (e.g., SQF, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000).

  • Regulatory Standards and Practices:

  • Familiarity with applicable regulatory standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements for manufacturing conventional foods, infant formulas, medical foods, and foods for special medical purposes (FSMP).

  • Problem Solving:

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Supply Management:

  • A comprehensive understanding of integrated processes and technologies related to supply management.
